by Kevin Sinclair

Rested but still heavy with tiredness
Awake enough to start this new day
A sense of hope lingers in the air
At last there's a feeling of heading the right way
You have guided
You have provided
Kindness and encouragement
Without you I'd still be lost
Hopelessly searching in vain
Don't know how much this has cost
Or what I can give back or do
Other than with gratitude say - thank you!Now there's some positive thoughts
Shinning their rays through the gloom
No longer wish to be dead
Don't have that sense of impending doom
You have listened
You have cared
Enough to understand
You have shone as my light
Helping dispel the darkness I felt
So that I no longer walk through the night
Tell me, what can I give back or do
Other than with gratitude say - thank you!Changes come in many different ways
But usually as a result of pain
No longer want to hurt needlessly
instead looking for growth and gain
You have shared
As I have bared
My soul to you
You are a friend when I am in need
You applied a bandage to my wound
Did what you could so I wouldn't bleed
Tell me, what can I give back or do
Other than with gratitude say - thank you!
