by Kevin Sinclair

Your legs weren't made for running
They were made for standing up
To your own responsibilities.
Your arms weren't made for enfolding
They were made to be open
To offer the love you have.
Your mind wasn't made for destruction
It was made for construction
The only tool for growth.
Your tongue wasn't made for lashing
It was made for sharing
Your truth with kindness.
Your heart wasn't made to be broken
It was made to accept the love
That is offered to you.
Your ears weren't made for hearing
They were made for listening
An expression of your caring.
Your body wasn't made for dying
It was made for living
Loving this life you've been given.
