by Kevin Sinclair

She came to me in sunlight
With smiles and nervous laughter
Lazy days spent on the beach
She was the perfect lover
Sand ran through our fingers
As waves crashed on the shore
She touched me in places
No other womans touched me before.Laid awake all last night
Thinkin' of our times together
How we held each other close
And said it was forever.Running naked along the beach
With the salt through our hair
And warm sun on our bodies
We were lovers without a care
But now the rain is falling
And I'm alone once again
Laughter is so far away
All I feel is the pain.Laid awake all last night
Thinkin' of our times together
How we held each other close
And said it was forever. The last hour of darkness
Just before the dawn
I reached for your soft body
Only to find you'd gone
My sun is hidden by clouds
And rain falls from my sky
My mind asks only one question
I want to know why.Laid awake all last night
Thinkin' of our times together
How we held each other close
And said it was forever.
