I Was The First

by Kevin Sinclair

You lay there and bled,
Bleeding away from me;
I had cut you deep,
Wanting to hold you
And yet I set you free.

I was the very first
And now I'm not the last,
Go ahead, enjoy yourself,
Have a good time,
You play the game fast.

Virgin blood on satin
Had left its stain,
You said go ahead
Even though I warned you
There would be pain.

Once I was the first,
But now I am not fast,
I see you enjoying life,
Having a good time,
Time will soon be past.
