Hold On

by Kevin Sinclair

Songs were sung out of key
Blues held sway - we couldn't be free
Locked into the mood of the moment
Was a pity that we hadn't chosen it
Somewhere in this darkness
There will be a light
We have to hold on now
Just hold on so tight.

Through the spray of the sea
Wind in the face - who can we be
Time stands still for no one now
All we can do is ask "how?"
Somewhere in all this gloom
There will be a light
We have to hold on now
Just hold on so tight.
