by Kevin Sinclair

These days are getting shorter
In the autumn of your years
Standing on the balcony
You overlook the sea
Many thoughts revolve around
Inside your restless brain
But the most beautiful sight you've seen
Was watching the sun go down.
These days peace can be found
In the moments of your acceptance
Life rushes past your door
But it doesn't leave you behind
Though you may stumble for words
To express the beauty you've seen
There's been nothing more beautiful
Than watching the sun go down.
These days there's not much time
Before your life shall be over
You feel so good knowing
That you have no regrets
Your memories are great
But none can compare
To the most beautiful sight you've seen
Watching the sun go down.
These days you can get so lonely
When you're all that's left
Those that you've loved
Have gone before you
You don't feel any sorrow
As you saw the peace
That filled their bodies
Watching the sun go down.
